With boots in the Kayland backpacking range the trekker can choose from a vast range of products which are extraordinarily comfortable and which fit like a sock. The excellent grip on wet, slippery terrain and the new technical solutions offered improve shock-absorption around the heel, ankle anchoring and rolling motion of the base, ensuring a very natural walking motion with excellent protection through the entire range of movement. With the medium to stiff rigidity the foot has freedom of movement, with pronounced rolling motion in the base to facilitate easy walking and ensure economy of energy usage. The Contact 1000 is recommended for trekking at mid altitude. It is a waterproof, comfortable, medium rigidity with Vibram sole. Contact 1000 is a trekking boot of unparalleled performance. Stability and shock absorption are enhanced by the Integrated Absorbing Drive System implemented in the sole unit. Laboratory studies have shown that this system permits the wearer to obtain a notable saving in energy. The Contact Lacing System enables the upper to be tailored to the specific shape of the wearers feet, improving comfort and performance. A great hiking boot lfor the serious adventurer.
